You won't be disappointed and it is so great to support our new authors. If any of you donated to Tatiana's cause, thank you very much indeed.

It's been a busy week for me. I was supposed to be starting a long term temp job but it hasn't materialised yet so I have been enjoying my freedom and getting in some writing on my memoir. Can't wait to finish it and get in onto the NY Times best seller list! Well, a girl can dream, can't she? What I did do was print it all out and put it in a ring binder. It feels real now. Almost like a real book!

On Monday I participated in a fabulous Women Gathering Project and met some amazing, inspirational women, all doing what they can to change the world around them for the better. We also ate some yummy, delicious food and laughed a lot.

So I thought I would honour women for this weekend's musical artists. First up is quirky, British born, indie pop, singer-songwriter, Paloma Faith. Her debut album Do You Want the Truth or Something Beautiful? went Platinum and stayed in the UK charts for over 40 weeks. I have it and I absolutely love it! It was difficult to choose one song as they are all excellent. I ended up with New York as it is a fun up-tempo number.

Paloma Faith - New York

Next up is Feist. I have only recently got into her because I picked up one of those free music downloads from Starbucks. Feist (full name is Leslie Feist) is a Canadian-American singer-songwriter, both as a solo artist and as a member of the indie rock group Broken Social Scene. Her third album, The Reminder, was the best selling album of 2007 on the iTunes store. Her latest album, Metals, was released in October (just in time for Christmas, hint, hint, if my husband is reading this!) and this is one of the songs from it.

Feist - Bittersweet Melodies

Finally, Scottish Amy Macdonald. I stumbled across Amy in a side tent at London's Hard Rock Calling in 2007 just before her first album was released. As soon as I heard her sing one song, I knew I wanted to buy the CD and I wasn't disappointed. This is the Life is a really good album and has sold over 3 million copies and she now has another album (more hinting) and a ton of awards and accolades at her feet.

I would love to hear your feedback re these artists. Do you love 'em, hate 'em, wish I would post something different? Let me know :)
